TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These terms and conditions apply when you use and/or order items from www.bellaballou.com. Purchases made at www.bellaballou.com are subject to Danish law. Any disputes are to be resolved by the Danish courts.

We only accept orders placed at www.bellaballou.com from private individuals. If you are a retailer or other business and would like to trade our products, please do send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
All prices displayed on the website apply at the time of purchase. The prices may be subject to change without notice, but changes will not affect orders which we have accepted. We endeavour to avoid errors, but pricing errors, spelling mistakes etc. can occur from time to time.
If your country is part of EU, prices include Danish VAT of 25%.
Orders to countries outside the EU may be subject to VAT, import duties and/or taxes, which are levied once your package reaches your country.
BELLA BALLOU ships your package Delivered Duty Unpaid, which means that we do not collect VAT, duties and/or taxes on orders to countries outside the EU and we cannot predict what your particular charges may be. If you do incur any such additional charges, they must be rendered in order for your package to clear customs. Please contact your local customs office for further information.
We will expedite your order as soon as possible. All orders are normally shipped from our warehouse within 2-3 business days, except around Christmas, where expedition time will be longer as the company is closed for the holidays. These orders will be shipped first working day after New Year.
All orders are subject to availability. When your order is placed, we will send you an order confirmation.
All orders within Denmark is shipped with GLS. All other orders are shipped with UPS. Orders can be tracked on www.gls.dk or www.ups.com. Once the parcel has been shipped, you will receive an email with a tracking number.
Orders will be delivered Monday to Friday. All deliveries must be signed for at receipt, except if another option is provided by the courier. Due to courier restrictions and the risk of credit card fraud, we do not allow delivery to PO boxes.
If your order consists of several items we reserve the right to split the delivery. This can happen if certain items are delayed at the time of ordering. In the event of split delivery, you will receive tracking for each parcel. You will not be charged for any additional delivery costs.
Shipping prices Shipping costs are subject to where the package is shipped. The prices in the below are used unless otherwise announced on the front page of bellaballou.com, e.g. during a free freight campaign.
Denmark: Free shipping on orders of at least EURO 50. Shipping costs for orders below EURO 50 will be EURO 10.
Rest EU: Free shipping on orders of at least EURO 50. Shipping costs for orders below EURO 50 will be EURO 10. Rest of Europe: Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Iceland, Croatia, Montenegro. Free shipping on orders of at least EURO 65. Shipping costs for orders below EURO 65 will be EURO 20. Rest of world: Free shipping on orders of at least EURO 150. Shipping costs for orders below EURO 150 will be EURO 40.
Returns When you shop at Bellaballou.com, there is a 14 days return period in which you can let us know that you wish to return your purchase to us. The 14-day period begins on the day you receive the item. If the period ends on a bank holiday, a Saturday, Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve, it is extended to the next working day.
After receiving your item, you may only use it in a way that allows you to determine the type of product, its features and the way it works. In other words, the item must be in the same condition as when you received it if you wish to return it to us. In order to make use of your right to return an item, you must let us know about your intention clearly and unambiguously and no later than 14 days after receipt of the item. We expect you to send back the items as soon as possible after informing us of your intention to return them. You must send them back no later than five (5) days after deciding to return them in order to make use of the return policy.
If you wish to exchange your item for a different colour or size, please return the unwanted item and place a new order.
When returning items you should ensure that they are packaged carefully, as you are liable for the package/items until we have received them. Save your receipt from the courier/postal service and the track and trace number, if applicable.
If the original packaging is missing, this may be judged to impair the value of the item. If you want to be sure of getting all of your money back, we recommend that you return the item in the original packaging with any associated tags and labels.
You must cover the cost of return postage yourself.
Returning an item is at your own risk. You can send it as a normal parcel. Upon returning, it is your responsibility to ensure that the item is packaged correctly.

Please Note: It is not possible to drop off parcels in person at the above address. Unfortunately, we do not accept parcels sent Cash on Delivery (or similar).
Include proof of purchase and the returns slip when returning items Include a copy of your order confirmation or other proof of purchase – e.g. your order number.
Refunds The return process usually takes 14 days. When we have completed this process, we will issue a refund using the original payment method. This can take up to five working days. We reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the goods.
Please note that any fees or taxes placed on the item will not be returned, nor will shipping costs be returned. However, for countries in the EU, any added VAT will be included in the return amount.
- From cookies when you visit our websites, e.g. IP address, country, pages displayed, categories displayed, brands displayed, interactions/clicks and searches.
- From purchases, e.g. demographical data, email address, payment details, features, order total, discount level, brands and frequency. This includes the sending of transaction emails, e.g. order confirmation, dispatch confirmation and refund confirmation.
- From user behaviour and engagement with sent communications (email or direct mail), e.g. opening speed, click speed and time spent reading the emails, sender domain and type of email client.
- From users who provide information about themselves (e.g. by adding information to their customer profile)
- From credit rating information supplied by a third-party rating company.
The purpose of this data collection relates to several areas:
- To fulfil our obligations to you as a customer or user of our service – such as e.g. purchases, invoicing and customer services.
- Customer Services. To be able to perform Customer Services tasks via email, chat or phone. To answer questions relating to your order or previous orders, correct errors and guide the customer.
- To display inspiration, product deals/services and personalised recommendations via web, email, direct mail, phone and via third-party marketing activities.
- Customer experience. To improve the customer experience in interactions with Bella Ballou, such as personalisation of your experience at Bellaballou.com, development of new features, services and products. This also includes administrating, protecting, running and maintaining our websites, system administration and security and consent to aggregated statistics on the use of the site, purchases and improving our understanding of our customers’ preferences.
- Fraud and risk. To prevent fraud and perform risk assessments.
- To comply with relevant legislation.
Bella Ballou creates individual customer profiles based on data collected about you across all data sources/categories, e.g. browsing behaviour along with your purchases and information you have provided (e.g. favourite brand and favourite products). We combine and analyse this data for the purposes of improving your experience at Bellaballou.com and customising personalised offers and services as well as defining the frequency of communication.
The messages you receive from us via email are customised for you in line with your data, browsing behaviour, buying behaviour and how much you engage with the communication we share with you via email. Time period for data storage We do not store your personal data for any longer than is necessary for us to be able to fulfil the purposes described above, or than we are obliged to according to the law. After this, your personal data will be erased. Invoices are saved in accordance with the Danish Bookkeeping Act, and customer club data is saved for 36 months from the last point of activity.
Updates to our policy on the protection of personal data: It may be necessary for us to update our policy on the protection of personal data. The latest version of our policy on the protection of personal data will always be available on our website. We will communicate all important changes to our policy on the protection of personal data, e.g. changes to the purposes for which we use your personal data, to who is responsible for it or to your rights.
What are cookies used for at Bellaballou.com?
Amongst other things, third-party cookies are used to create statistics about your visits to Bellaballou.com – in this case, we use the cookie to see e.g. which pages you visit and how long you spend on them. For this we use the Google Analytics system provided by Google. You can opt out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
To ensure that our email newsletters do not end up in your spam folder, we monitor whether the messages sent to individual recipients have been delivered. We use third-party software to follow up on these emails and analyse the ability to deliver them.
Your rights as a data subject at Bellaballou.com
As a data subject at Bellaballou.com, you have the right to request access to the data we process on you. You also have the right to request that we rectify, erase or restrict our processing of your personal data. You can also object to our processing of data on you, and if your objection is deemed justified, your personal data will be erased or blocked.

We can reject requests that are repeated without reason, that require a disproportionately large technical intervention (e.g. development of a new system or considerable changes to existing processes), that affect other individuals’ personal data, or requests that are extremely impractical (e.g. data from backup systems). Protection of personal data According to the law, personal data must be stored securely and confidentially. We store your personal data on high-security servers located in controlled facilities, and our security measures are regularly checked to determine whether our user information is being processed securely, and with constant consideration for your rights as a user. However, we cannot guarantee that data transfers over the internet are 100% secure. This means that there is also a risk that other, unauthorised parties can force access to data when it is transmitted and stored electronically. You provide your personal data at your own risk. Personal data is erased or anonymised continually as the purpose for which it was collected is completed.
The rapid development of the internet means that changes to our processing of personal data may be necessary. We therefore reserve the right to update and change these guidelines for the processing of personal data. If we do this, we will of course correct the ‘last updated’ date at the bottom of the page.
